Turn The Other Cheek

The guy #occupodPortland loves to hate, Daylight Disinfectant, notes that another blogger has caught onto the apparent inconguity of a “church” housing political activists. Having apparently run out of altar boys to molest, the pious leaders of the SE Portland Catholic church “St. Francis of Assisi” have apparently decided that they should screw us all. They’ve been providing accommodation to the #occpod crowd in apparent violation not only of the principle of separation of church and state, but also likely placing their tax exempt status at risk.

Of course, other churches, such as West Park Presbyterian Church in NYC, have also opened their doors to welcome the #occupod crowd although after having laptops and even sacred items stolen, some are now entertaining second thoughts:

There’s no longer room at the inn at a Manhattan church that’s sheltering Occupy Wall Streeters after a holy vessel disappeared from the altar last week.

When the Rev. Bob Brashear prepared for Sunday services at West Park Presbyterian Church on West 86th Street, he noticed parts of the bronze baptismal font were gone.

In a fire-and-brimstone message to occupiers later that day, he thundered, “It was like pissing on the 99 percent.”

The Reverunnd has given them two weeks to clear out; effectively closing the barn door after the livestock have run afoul.

Meanwhile: In Brooklyn, at another church housing OWS protesters, an occupier urinated on a cross.

Gotta give it to them: the #occupods have a lot of class – and every bit of it is low.
