Vetting Obama: Breitbart Releases First Video Exposing Obama's Radical College Associations

Breitbart released the first of several videos of Obama’s radical college days tonight on the Sean Hannity show.

The video features Barack Obama giving a speech at a protest at Harvard Law, urging the crowd to “open your hearts and your minds” to the words of Derrick Bell, a radical professor, associate of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and proponent of “Critical Race Theory.”

Discover The Networks gives a sobering overview of Bell’s radical ideology and background:

Derrick Bell is a professor at the New York University School of Law. Born in 1930, Bell may be considered the founder, or at least the godfather, of “Critical Race Theory,” an academic tradition in which race plays the same role as class in the Marxist paradigm. In the mid-1970s Bell was a pioneer in the field. He was not only angered by what he viewed as the slow progress of racial reform in the United States, but he also held that the gains brought about by the civil rights laws of the 1960s were being eroded in the 1970s.

Bell believed then, as he does to this day, that whites would support civil rights protections for blacks only if those protections would also promote white self-interest and social status. Since Bell maintains that racial minorities are a permanently oppressed caste — and that racism is a normal, permanent aspect of American life — he reasons that equality before the law is unfair to blacks, whose moral claims are superior to those of whites. He has endorsed a journal dedicated to the “abolition of whiteness,” called Race Traitor, whose motto is “Treason to the white race is loyalty to humanity.”  […]

In the immediate aftermath of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1968 assassination, members of Harvard University‘s Black Law Students Association pressured their school to hire a minority professor; this led eventually to Bell’s hiring in 1971 as the first black faculty member in the law school’s history. From the very outset of his stay at Harvard, Bell was acutely aware of the fact that he lacked the qualifications that had traditionally been prerequisites for an appointment at Harvard: he had neither graduated with distinction from a prestigious law school, nor clerked for the Supreme Court, nor practiced law at a major firm. Yet he mocked such criteria as being nothing more than the exclusionary constructs of a racist white power structure that traditionally had sought to deny blacks an opportunity to teach at the nation’s elite schools.

Is it any wonder that this racist professor had ties to Rev. Jeremiah Wright?  “Black Liberation Theology,” the heretical theology that attempts to cloak Marxist and racist ideology with cherry-picked scripture verses, is a perfect compliment to “Critical Race Theory,” and gives a false sense of rational justification to those who embrace this hateful ideology yet still claim to be “Christians.”

Bell’s racist ideology sometimes bordered on the outright bizarre.  He once wrote a short story called “Space Traders,” which featured white Americans selling black Americans to aliens as slaves and portrayed Ronald Reagan as an alien slave trader.  The story was adapted for a film on HBO.

Yet in his introduction at the Harvard protest, Barack Obama praised “the excellence of his scholarship” and urged the crowd to “open your hearts and your minds” to his ideology.

Ben Smith at Buzzfeed tried to steal Breitbart’s thunder and mitigate the damage from the video’s release by publishing his own strategically edited version, which omits mention of the radicalism of the people involved or the plot to hide the footage.   Smith insists the video only confirms how “conciliatory” Obama was during his college days, if that’s what you want to call embracing race-baiting radicals:

Guess that’s why Obama’s mentor and campaign associate Charles Ogletree admitted “We hid this throughout the 2008 campaign.”  You know, because there was really nothing to hide.

The propaganda press immediately began running interference for the Obama campaign.  New York magazine calls the video a “dud” and claims “the big reveal revealed nothing.”  CNN’s Soledad O’Brien practically threw a fit on the air when Breitbart’s Joel Pollack easily debunked her talking points and turned her diatribe into an obvious example of media obfuscation.   MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell spins:

“… this is not some firebrand radical in the context of the times. He was the head of the law review and speaking out on behalf of a very distinguished professor.”

So distinguished that the Obama campaign and media deliberately hid Obama’s associations with him?

The Left is genuinely terrified that the truth about Barack Hussein Obama is finally coming to light.  With each denial, dismissal and attempt to redefine what voters can see and hear with their own lying eyes and ears, the media undercuts their own credibility and reveals how they have essentially become the propaganda wing of the Democrat party.   By releasing only one video and tidbit at a time, the Breitbart team is giving the media a chance to spin their own noose.

During the 2008 election, the propaganda press deliberately avoided vetting Obama’s radical past: his college days, his Alinsky training, his associations with Jeremiah Wright, Bill and Bernadine Dorhn, and ACORN, his “community organizing” activities, his radical views on the constitution and Marxism, etc.

This election, Obama will FINALLY be vetted by citizen journalists who have bypassed the traditional, agenda-driven gatekeepers.   We The People will make sure American voters know EXACTLY what kind of radical is currently occupying the White House.

Breitbart’s team promises more next week.  We’re looking forward to it.

Rest in peace, Andrew.  Your team is a tribute to your legacy.
