The Face Behind The Fluke

We now know that the whole Sandra Fluke “testimony before Congress” thing was staged, as Mark Steyn so aptly phrased it,

like summer stock, with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid doing the show right here in the barn and providing a cardboard set for the world premiere of “Miss Fluke Goes To Washington,” with full supporting cast led by Chuck Schumer strolling in through the French windows in tennis whites and drawling, “Anyone for bull****?

So who is director of the production? Anita DunnShe’s all too familiar: none other than the lovely and talented Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director until November 2009 and long-time flack for the likes of Tom Daschle and Rod Blagojevich.

Dunn is perhaps best known for her attack on Fox News and for naming Chinese revolutionary and Communist leader Mao Tse Tung as one of her favorite political philosophers back in 2009, the fallout from the latter likely presenting the impetus leading to her resignation from the White House staff a month or so later.

According to some, the trail from Fluke to Dunn unsurprisingly leads straight back to the White House.

For a day or two, the Left was giddy with delight, thinking that they had something with real traction; particularly following Rush Limbaugh’s characterization of poor Sandra as a slut. Now they’re in absolute shock. They don’t know what to do, because after going on the attack against Limbaught, the whole thing backfired. It went horribly wrong. People began to demand that the Left hold themselves to the same standard that they sought to impose upon Limbaugh, and that has the Left totally flummoxed.

Name-calling and gutter tactics is all they know how to do; it’s in their DNA. How can they hope to accomplish anything when their most prized tools are removed from the job-site?
