Dictator-in-Chief Now Ruling Completely By Unchecked, Unconstitutional Abuses Of Executive Power

If America wanted to be ruled by an executive who could bypass the legislature and write or abolish laws by decree, we would have stayed with King George.

A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.” ~ Declaration of Independence

Tad Cronn warns at Godfather Politics:

If one man is allowed to singlehandedly change the law for 800,000 people in a way that he never could have achieved through the constitutional legal process, and he remains unchallenged, we are no longer living in a constitutional republic.
With President Obama’s granting of de facto amnesty to young illegal immigrants through executive order, he has completely thrown out the Constitution and for all intents and purposes made himself a king in all but name.

Not only that, but he has made himself the worst kind of king — a tyrant. Tyrants are those rulers who place themselves above the law.

For even kings in most of Western history were subject to the law. Obama has made it obvious he feels no such restraint.

Mark J. Fitzgibbons observes at American Thinker:

Obama’s government is the biggest violator of law in our history. His very methods of governing, which include bypassing Congress’s constitutional authority to make law, actually show contempt for the Constitution and the American rule of law.

By executive orders, Mr. Obama both violates the law against his own American-citizen “enemies,” such as Catholic institutions when it comes to abortion and birth control, and grants unlawful privileges for his supporters or potential supporters, such as his immigration amnesty order this week. […]

Congress won’t pass the DREAM Act? No problem. Who needs the consent of the governed or their elected representatives?

By the scope and consistency of their lawbreaking, the Obama administration is Public Enemy Number 1.

[…] The fact is that government no longer treats the Constitution as law binding it. As a result, government not only violates the Constitution with greater frequency and even more contempt, but government bureaucrats violate the very laws they enforce that are subordinate to the Constitution.

[…] The backlash by the Tea Party and constitutional conservative movements is not just about lawbreaking by the Obama administration. It’s about defeating Republicans who are constitutional lawbreakers, or who through their passivity refuse to enforce the Constitution on government. The Obama administration’s contempt for the Constitution highlights what passive and lawbreaking Republicans have wrought. Big-government Republicans were like the gateway drug to Obama.

Those in government who want Americans to stop thinking of the government as their enemy should focus on stopping government’s violating the law.

Michael Filozof at American Thinker argues:

If the citizens of this Republic still took the Constitution seriously, Obama would be impeached for his decision to unilaterally grant amnesty to certain illegal aliens.

Article 1, Sec. 8 of the Constitution, which enumerates the power of Congress, states that “Congress shall have the Power To… establish an [sic] uniform Rule of Naturalization.” Congress has passed numerous laws pertaining to immigration and naturalization, including laws requiring the deportation of illegals.

The role of the President, according to Article II, Sec. 3, is to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” Obama’s refusal to execute Congress’s immigration laws (or, for that matter, Congress’s Defense of Marriage Act) is an impeachable offense. Article II, Sec. 4 states that the President “shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for… Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors.” The deliberate failure to enforce valid immigration law and allow hordes of foreigners to live and work in the U.S. is, arguably, “treason,” and doing so in an election year to appease Hispanic voters could certainly be considered “bribery.”

[…] Of course, he’ll get away with it… if you think the gutless Republicans in the House actually represent the interests of their native born constituents and will introduce articles of impeachment, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you….

That is the scary part: we do not have a congress with the spine to stand up to an out-of-control Executive branch that now tries to rule by decree.

There are only four short months until the election, when we must not only oust this tyrant, but gain strong majorities in the House and Senate so that ANY president who abuses such unconstitutional powers will be immediately held accountable by congress.
