The Basic American Rights Series is coming up on September 29th in Eugene. Anyone remember what happened with George Bush II and his super majority of “Republicans”?

Yeah. You need to be there on the 29th.

Ask yourself: Are you Samuel Whittemore tough? Don’t know who that is? Take a listen: I Spy Minute for Thursday Sept 20 2012.

Samuel Whittemore is the original Tea Party bad boy. At the age of eighty, he is also the oldest known combatant in the Revolution.

After the battles of Lexington and Concord, the British where retreating to Boston, under constant fire by Minutemen.

80-year old Samuel Whittemore was tending his fields when he spotted a redcoat brigade, sent to assist the retreat.

Whittemore grabbed his musket, hid behind a stone wall, and ambushed them, killing one. He drew his dueling pistols—and killed a grenadier and mortally wounded another. By then, the British reached the wall.

Whittemore–80 years old–drew his sword and attacked. He was shot in the face, bayoneted thirteen times, and left for dead. But he was found him alive, trying to load his musket to keep fighting.

He lived another 18 years, dying of natural causes.

This is the kind of activist we want at the Basic American Rights Series on Sept. 29th in Eugene.

If you’re someone who won’t give up, who knows we have to fight harder even if we get our guy in office, we want you.  See I Spy for more details and to register.
